2009/2010 Organist Clergy Dinner

First Presbyterian Union Church 111 Temple Street, Owego Weather cooperating, we'll be getting together with many of the clergy with whom we work for dinner and a program on the first day of February. Our clerical associates (and their spouses, if they so wish) will be guests of the chapter. Our evening will begin with a cheese and crackers social at 6:00. The women of the church will be preparing our meal, to be served at 6:30. The menu
Winter jewel Jello salad Mandarin orange tossed salad Chicken casserole Green beans or buttered sweetened carrots Hot roll/bread Assorted desserts Our palates satiated, we'll
adjourn to the sanctuary for our program, a sort of "progressive hymn
sing" sur- veying a selection of recent hymns from various
denominational hymnals. Six of our members will each provide a bit of
commentary on their selected hymn.

Directions to 111Temple Street, Owego:
From Route 17, take exit 64 (Owego and Ithaca). Follow signs to Route
96. You
will go over the river and past the Court House. Route 96 will make a
right
turn at a light, and then an immediate left at another light. The
church will
be on your right at the next light, the intersection of North (Route
96) and
Temple. There is no parking lot for the church. Parking is on Temple
Street or
in a village lot between the back of John's Market and the police
station
(entrance on Temple St.). Telephone number for the church kitchen is 687-1306. The church is handicapped accessible with a
lift at the Temple Street entrance, or with a side door ramp. Call Joan
