 What could be a more pleasant respite from the summer heat than a leisurely day trip to Skaneateles?

Ellie Rugg is organizing a day trip for us to visit two of the organic treasures of the village as well as having the opportunity to do a little window shopping (or more), what's sure to be a delightful lunch,  and a visit to the local winery.

Car pool.

Leaving promptly at 8:45 am (please note change)!  We'll meet at Lowe's, 1318 Upper Front Street, Nimmonsburg, to consolidate vehicles for the trip north. Use the lot area to the left as you enter, not those nearer the store entrance.

Churches & Organs to visit!

At 10:30 we'll meet at St. James Episcopal Church, 96 E. Genesee St., to hear the Ernest M. Skinner organ, Opus 644, 1927 with restoration and additions in 2004 and 2006. Organist Bruce Osborne has agreed to present an informational session. Bring your music!

Lunch will be at the historic Sherwood Inn which overlooks the beautiful pristine lake. The busy summer season makes early reservations imperative. Please RSVP to Ellie by Monday, July 12. There's a handy form below for your convenience.

Our leisurely day will present plenty of opportunity for shopping and seeing the sights of the village. We'll also visit Anyela's Vineyards and sample its wares in a winetasting.
