Binghamton AGO Events
Our chapter officers and board work diligently to provide interesting programs for the year. Typical offerings include recitals, workshops, organ crawls, dinners and, of course, the congeniality of our meetings. We list the year's schedule of chapter events here, along with other organ and choral events of interest in the area.

Organist Jean Herman Henssler in recital:
The Binghamton chapter of the American Guild of Organists and United Presbyterian Church, sponsors of WSKG, present A Christmas Fantasy, a recital by organist Jean Herman Henssler, playing a potpourri of arrangements of traditional Christmas carols on the glorious, 3 manual Guilbault-Therian pipe organ at United Presbyterian Church, 42 Chenango Street, Binghamton. Music by Gigout, Chapman, Karg-Elert, Bédard, Burkhardt, Saint-Saëns and Scott. Masks required. In person and live-streaming at https://upcbgm.org/youtube/. Free Will Offering.

Rudy Sumpter will be presenting an Advent Meditation at First Presbyterian Church in Montrose, PA. This program will also be available on YouTube later in the day.
Sunday, December 12, 4:00 pm:
Trinity Episcopal Church, Binghamton, presents The Cayuga Vocal Ensemble. Music by Praetorius, Distler and Howells. Masks are required. This is a ‘pay what you wish’ performance.

St. Stephen's in Wilkes-Barre, PA, has its annual Advent Lessons and Carols Service. The St. Steven's Choir will be singing carols and anthems by Palestrina, Willcocks, Stanford, Otto Goldschmidt, Gerald Near, John Rutter, and John Tavener. (Note: Mark Laubach, the organist at St. Steven's, will be performing a recital at United Presbyterian Church on Friday, April 22 at 7:00, co-sponsored by our chapter and United Presbyterian Church.)
Sunday, December 19th at 3 pm:
Concert by BRIO will be held at the Endwell Methodist Church. Craig Johnson, Director. There will be good parking and good social distancing.
Sunday, January 2, 2022! 5:00 pm:
Binghamton Chapter of the AGO will hold its end of year/beginning of the new year dinner at the Spot restaurant on Upper Front Street.
